As you can tell it was pretty rainy and very cold.
They retired the flags by burning each color separately. Craig's dad read what each color stood for and then the colors were put in the fire. The blue squares were burned last and Brent played taps again--it brought tears to my eyes. A number of veterans came out to see the ceremony and it was a beautiful experience to stand among them and see them salute as our nations flag was honored and retired properly. They want us to come back and do it again next year.
